COMMUNITY: Misterton Gala

New Attractions

Saturday, July 2, noon to 5pm at Misterton Sports Social Club. A traditional brass band will be one of the main attractions at this year’s gala, along with Ruby Stars majorettes, who open the event.

The programme of events (correct at the time of going to press) are:

Noon - Ruby Stars majorettes.

12.30pm - Worksop Miners Welfare Band.

1.15pm - displays by pupils of Everett-Fox School of Dance.

1.45pm - Worksop Miners Welfare Band.

2.30pm - performance by pupils of Be’dazzled.

3pm - football five-a-side.

3.30pm - dog show.

4.15pm - parade of vehicles.

4.30pm - draw of the grand raffle.

There’s an extended range of attractions for children with rides and inflatables, dozens of stalls, and a line-up of old and interesting vehicles.

Refreshments will be on sale; the bar will be open. Entry is £2 for adults; accompanied children are free; unaccompanied children £1.

A lucky winner will take away the £100 first prize in the raffle; tickets are on sale this month (available from the organisers or at The Misterton Centre).

All the event’s profits go to local charities and good causes.
