COMMUNITY: St Thomas of Canterbury Church, Gainsborough

At the 150th anniversary recently, the bishop who had arrived back from Lourdes the previous day, concelebrated mass with priest, Father Gabriel Offor and Father Patrick O'Doherty.

Patrick was ordained at the church in 1991. Other clergy from the deanery attended the excellent buffet lunch.

Also present were local dignitaries including Sir Edward (MP for Gainsborough)and Lady Mary Leigh.

Several West Lindsey District and Gainsborough town councillors were also present at the mass and lunch along with parishioners,former parishioners and friends who have had long connections with the church.

A truly memorable day.
