President Angela Borman opened the meeting held on April 7. '¨The notices were dealt with and at the conclusion of these, the speaker for the evening Alison Walling from Lincolnshire Willow was introduced.

Alison showed members slides depicting the various types of willow used for making all manner of items.

The competition for a woven basket was won by Gay Hicks, with Ann Cragg and Joy Seddon second and third.

Raffle prizes were won by Diane Ayres, Sheila Worrell, Rosalyn Sneath and Angela Borman.

The next meeting is on May 5 at 7.30pm and details of the programme for the year can be found on www.willinghambystow/wi.

New members are most welcome.
