Compensation offered to commuters caught up in Sleaford to Peterborough line disruption
Trains were unable to run between Sleaford and Peterborough via Spalding following a broken down locomotive this afternoon.
All East Midlands Trains services were unable to run between Sleaford and Peterborough and rail replacement transport was arranged for the cancellation of 1341 Peterborough to Lincoln Central.
A rescue train was sent to move the broken down engine and the tracks have now been cleared.
If passengers are delayed for more than 30 minutes they can claim compensation via the train operator’s website.
