Coningsby woman in court over driving offence

Emma Smith, 29, of Lewis Road in Coningsby, has been found guilty of failing to give information relating to the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

She was charged with the offence which took place in Nettleham on June 16 last year.

Smith’s guilt was proved in her absence at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on January 4, but sentencing has been adjourned until March 23 in order to consider disqualification from driving.

A second charge alleges that Smith exceeded the speed limit while driving on the A153 at Tattershall Bridge on May 13.

No plea was entered for this second charge and it was not proved in absence, and therefore it has also been adjourned until March 23.
