It follows the findings of a surveyor, whose report was funded by £50,000 grant awarded to Skegness Partnership in December last year by the Coastal Revival Fund.

The report reveals the shocking state of decay of the derelict 138-year-old building, which is now boarded up and has been empty since 2007.

Since then Steve Larner, clerk to Skegness Town Council, and the Partnership have been working extensively on proposals for the site.

What the proposals are are revealed in today’s edition of the Skegness Standard,

Mr Larner said: “We have to act fast to meet the funding deadline with the Coastal Communities Fund at the end of the month and have to show the public is behind our proposals, which is why we are asking residents to come along take part in a survey.”

The public meeting in the Town Hall takes place on Wednesday, June 8, from 2-4pm and 7-8pm – and not as published,
