Although the hospice is located in Grimsby, it serves the whole of Lincolnshire and beyond, supporting young people with terminal and life-limiting illnesses.
Following a presentation from Zaza, the Academy’s student council decided that the hospice would be a worthwhile cause to receive all the funds raised on the day.
Meanwhile, Year 8 student Yasmin Kirwin diligently collected stray coppers from the tennis courts and field, handing them over to PE Teacher Mr Giles each day for safe keeping.
Yasmin said, “As the last day of term was a non-uniform day for St. Andrews Hospice, we thought it would be a nice idea to donate the £3.20 we found to them.”
Thanks go to all those involved in the fundraising.
