CORONAVIRUS: £2,500 for coronavirus relief projects in Skegness area

More funds have been awarded to coronavirus relief projects in the Skegness area through a scheme run by East Lindsey District Council.

In response to the coronavirus crisis, the council has made £1,000 available to each councillor to award to not-for-profit organisations working to mitigate the impact of Covid-19.

The donations are made through the Councillors’ Community Grant Scheme and means in total members have £2,000 for good causes in the area.

Through this, Coun Carleen Dickinson has awarded £2,000 to The Askefield Project Limited, in Friskney, to help with the purchase of essentials for vulnerable residents; while Coun Wendy Bowkett has awarded £500 to Wainfleet Saint Mary Community Hub to assist with the collection of food, meals, and prescriptions.
