Could you smell something? Straw stack and heap of manure goes up in smoke at Threekingham
Two fire crews were called to Threekingham this morning (Friday) when a stack of 50 straw bales and a pile of manure went up in flames.
It was the Billingborough crew’s first job in their brand new fire appliance and they were joined by a crew from Donington at the scene at 11.38am.
They used hoses to extinguish the fire and a farmer’s forklift to move and turn over the straw.
A crew was to return later today to inspect and check the site for any further burning straw.
