Michael said: “This is a fantastic opportunity, the chance of a lifetime, and I’m really excited. I will be working prior to and during the competition and will gain valuable experience – not just for myself, but the experience I’ll be able to bring to the team here at Normanby. The work I will be doing includes cutting Tees, Fairway, Greens and Rough. I will also be raking bunkers and doing many other jobs to get the course ready and set up for the event.”

Nick Lindstrom, Senior Green Keeper at Normanby Hall and Kingsway Golf Course, said: “Michael’s selection is testament to not only his own ambitions and hard work but also the work ethic and hard work put in by all members of the green keeping team at Normanby Hall Golf Course.”

Michael’s trip will take place from 1 to 12 May 2015. The tournament is 5 to 10 May.
