Councillors support community projects in the Louth and Mablethorpe area

District councillors have provided grants to good local causes through ELDC's Councillor Community Grants scheme.

Couns George Horton and Pauline Watson (Louth) together awarded £400 to the Zero Degrees Show Chorus to purchase portable staging and tools to enable the group to perform at 
a variety of venues.

Coun Terry Aldridge (Holton le Clay and North Thoresby) awarded three lots of £100 to 2nd North Thoresby Rainbows Girl Guides, 1st North Thoresby Brownies, and Holton le Clay Rainbows to purchase insurance 
for the three groups.

Coun Helen Matthews (Sutton on Sea) awarded £100 to the Sutton on Sea Gardening Group for their village 
signs project. The grant will help towards the creation of village signs following sketches from an artist.

Coun Graham Cullen (Mablethorpe) awarded £200 to Mablethorpe Area Partnership CIC to purchase a large interpretation/plan of the skate park, and he also awarded £200 to Mablethorpe in Bloom to install interpretation and signage boards to St Mary’s Park, providing information on the conservation area.

Coun Siobhan Weller (Holton le Clay and North Thoresby) awarded £384 to North Thoresby Parish Council to replace the village hall curtains and 
purchase a small PA system.

Coun Daniel McNally (Marshchapel and Somercotes) awarded £249 to 
Skidbrooke with Saltfleet Haven Parish Council to 
purchase a shed and equipment for the local Craft Group at The Chapel in Saltfleet.
