County's fight against hare coursing to feature on TV

The impact of hare coursing on Lincolnshire and the illegal hunting fraternity's links to organised crime will feature on TV.

Chief Insp Jim Tyner: 'We will seize your vehicles and your dogs.'

BBC East Midlands will also look at the Lincolnshire Police role in combating hare coursing when Inside Out is screened at 7.30pm on Monday.

Chief Insp Jim Tyner, who heads Operation Galileo – the police operation to catch hare coursers – sent a Tweet today (Saturday) saying: “Caught #harecoursing in #Lincs today, we will seize your car, your dogs & see you in court. #thinkagain #OpGalileo.”

• Police are also today reminding county residents to call them on 999 when they see hare coursing in progress – callers alerting police after the event should dial 101.
