Couple are accused of defrauding 95-year-old
A couple accused of defrauding a 95-year-old pensioner are to stand trial in front of a jury later this year.
Jason Bentley, 44, and Rebecca Jayne Bentley, 44, both of Elliott Way, Chapel St Leonards, each denied a charge of defrauding Patricia Reilly between December 29, 2008, and March 5, 2015, when they appeared before Lincoln Crown Court.
Jason Bentley together with Denise Philbin, 66, of Connaught Drive, Chapel St Leonards, also denied a further charge of the theft of £5,495 from the same victim between September 1 and 20, 2013.
All three defendants were granted bail by Recorder Graham Huston who on Friday adjourned the hearing for a trial to be held in November.
