COURT: Thug caged after biting chunk from man’s lip outside pub
A thug who bit a chunk from another man’s lip has been sentenced to three years in a young offenders’ institution.
Cody Elliott, 20, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent to causing grievous bodily harm and was sentenced at Derby Crown Court on Wednesday, November 18.
The 29-year-old victim and a friend became involved in an argument with Elliott and a group of other men outside the Gate Inn, Shirebrook, during which the victim was bitten.
The victim then went to the Queen’s Medical Centre for surgery.
Elliott, of The Woodlands, Langwith, was banned from the pub for two years.
