Cow rescued from river by firefighters
Firefighters have been called out this afternoon to rescue a pregnant cow from a river.
According to a fire service spokesman, the incident was reported shortly before 1.30pm today (Wednesday) when a crew from Billinghay and a specialist animal rescue team attended the river at North Kyme Fen.
Crews assisted RSPCA officers and a vet using straps and lines to rescue the calfing cow from the water.
