Crash landing fears at Doncaster Robin Hood Airport

AIRPORT bosses were put on full alert to deal with a potential crash landing.

Emergency services were called to Doncaster’s Robin Hood Airport after the pilot of a plane radioed to report a problem.

However, the pilot managed to bring the plane down without serious problems.

A spokesman for the Finningley airport said: “Emergency services were called to site on Wednesday as a precautionary measure following contact from a twin engine light aircraft pilot who reported a potential undercarriage problem.

“The aircraft landed safely and without incident.

“This did not cause any disruption to other airport services.”
