Creswell ‘gun’ pair charged

Two men have been charged with carrying an imitation firearm in public after an incident in Creswell last month.

Police were called to the Elmton Road area at around 10.50am on Saturday 15th December 2012 after reports of two men carrying a hand gun.

They were also alerted by a train passenger who alleged they had seen the men at Creswell train station.

Both men were arrested following a search of the area by local and armed response officers. A BB gun and pellets were seized.

The men, aged 19 and 25, from Creswell, will appear at Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court on Monday 14th January.
