Crew called to chimney fire in Ropsley

A fire crew was called to a chimney on fire reported in Ropsley yesterday (Monday, April 18).

The incident was reported at 11.35am, according to Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, on School Lane in Ropsley.

A crew from Grantham attended and used chimney gear, a hose, a nine metre ladder and roof ladder to extinguish flames.

The cause was a said to have been a build-up of soot within the chimney.
