Armed police make arrests after incident in Horncastle

In a statement issued this afternoon (Thursday), a Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “We received a call at 8.39pm on July 29 reporting that a fight was taking place in Clarke Court, Horncastle.

“We subsequently received a report that a man had been seen with a firearm.

“Armed officers were deployed and, following searches in the town, two men were arrested.

“Both men, one aged 25 and the other aged 28, were arrested on suspicion of assault and on suspicion of firearms offences.

“They remain in police custody.”
