Banned Misterton driver reached 80mph in a 30mph zone in a car he'd just bought off Facebook
A banned Misterton driver who reached 80mph in a residential 30mph zone was travelling in a car he’d just bought off Facebook with cloned number plates, a court has heard.
Police followed Harry Woollas to his home in Misterton, at 7pm on August 18, said Alexander Staddon, prosecuting.
He agreed his driving was dangerous and said he was aware the police had followed him.
He bought the Ford Focus off Facebook but didn't realise the plates were cloned. He was also disqualified in October 2023.

Woollas, who represented himself, apologised to the court and claimed he had learned his lesson.
The 24-year-old, of Fox Covert Lane, admitted dangerous driving, without a licence or insurance, and failing to stop, when he appeared at Mansfield Magistrates Court.
On Thursday, November 13, he received a 12-month community order with 15 rehabilitation days and 100 hours of unpaid work. He was disqualified for 12 months and must take the extended test.
"You could have killed someone,” the presiding magistrate told him.
