Boston man charged over three-vehicle collision near Sleaford admits causing death of 20-month-old boy by dangerous driving
A Boston man has today (Thursday, May 21) admitted causing the death of a 20-month-old boy by dangerous driving.
Hristo Iliev, 32, of Hide Close, pleaded guilty to causing death of the boy by driving a Volkswagen Passat dangerously on March 19 last year.
Iliev also pleaded guilty to a second charge of causing serious injury by dangerous driving on the same date.
The three-vehicle crash happened near the Holdingham roundabout on the A17 near Sleaford, at about 4.45pm.

Lincolnshire Police said the toddler was airlifted to hospital, but died two days later. The driver of one of the vehicles was also seriously injured.
Jon Dee, defending Iliev, said he understood the inevitable sentence.
“I don't ask for a pre-sentence report, there is little point,” Mr Dee added.
“I would ask for a short adjournment to get his affairs in order. He has a wife and three children.”
Mr Dee added: “He has been in this country for 14 years.”
Judge Catarina Sjolin-Knight refused an application to extend Iliev's bail and remanded him into custody.
“He starts serving the inevitable prison sentence. It is how long it will be,” Judge Sjolin-Knight explained.
Iliev, who followed the hearing via a Bulgarian interpreter, will be sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court on June 11.
