Darrigan, 19, of Fenside Road, Boston, admitted a charge of possession of drugs with intent to supply on 11 October 2015.

He was sent to a young offenders’ institution for eight months which is to run concurrently with a four and a half year custodial sentence he received in September this year for an offence of wounding.

Darrigan was ruled to have benefitted from drug dealing by £155 and that money was confiscated from him.

John McNally, in mitigation, said that Darrigan planned to sell the MCat to his friends.

He told the court that the lengthy custodial sentence Darrigan received for the wounding offence had a salutary effect on him and while in custody he has been making efforts to improve his life ready for his eventual release in 2018.
