Boston teenager admits killing man, 43

A teenager today (Thurs) admitted a charge of manslaughter following an incident in Boston earlier this year in which a 43 year old man died.

Hikmet Maez, 19, of Spilsby Road, Boston, had previously denied the charge at a hearing two weeks ago but today changed his plea and admitted unlawfully killing Gediminas Vaitkus

Mr Vaitkus was discovered in Red Lion Street, Boston, at around 6.15pm on July 28.

He had suffered serious head injuries.

He was rushed to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, but died from his injuries on August 2.

Maez, who appeared at Lincoln Crown Court via video link, was remanded in custody to await sentence on 3 November.
