Call for recruits to support coastal safety drive in Skegness

Residents are being invited to play a key role in keeping visitors safe this summer as a new coastal initiative launches in Skegness.

The Atlantis Alliance is recruiting people to help deliver important safety messages and support partner agencies along the busy seafront.

Volunteers will be based on the promenade near the Skegness Lifeboat Station, placing them at the heart of the town’s coastal activity during the peak visitor season.

The role will involve engaging with visitors, promoting water and beach safety, and working alongside a range of organisations as part of a multi-agency approach.

Organisers say the scheme aims to provide a visible and friendly presence along the seafront, helping to ensure both residents and tourists can enjoy the coast safely.

The opportunity is open across weekends and school holidays, running from now through to the October half term, with flexible involvement available.

Those taking part will gain valuable experience while contributing to public safety in one of Lincolnshire’s busiest seaside destinations.

The initiative brings together multiple agencies working in partnership to improve awareness and reduce risks along the coast.

Anyone interested in getting involved can find out more and apply online via the Lincolnshire Police website at lincs.police.uk/.../atlantis-alliance.../.
