At around 1.55am, officers received reports of an ATM theft in progress at the Co-Op, High Street. A white flatbed transit van and a grey Volkswagen Golf was reportedly seen at the location.

On arrival, officers found damage to the shop’s window and cassette boxes containing a sum of cash were stolen from the premises.

The van was abandoned, and it’s believed three offenders left the scene in the Golf.
