CORONAVIRUS: Thieves steal shelter provided for volunteers at Boston medical practice

Thieves have stolen a shelter that was donated for use of volunteers at one of Boston’s Covid-19 vaccination hubs.

The Sidings Medical Practice is the Primary Care Network hub in Boston for delivering the the Pfizer/BioNTech.

It has received support from volunteers and donations from local businesses, including shelters for marshals.

One of those has been stolen by thieves, and the practice is appealing for information.

Posting on its Facebook page, the practice made a plea for help. It said: “Plea for assistance. One of our shelters for our volunteer Marshall's at the Sidings Medical Practice PCN vaccination hub (kindly donated by Jeswsons of Spalding) has been stolen. “We have the incident on CCTV and would urge the persons concerned to return the shelter before we request police involvement.

“Thank you.”

A number of Facebook users have commented on the post, including one who said: "This is the lowest of low. The volunteers were out there in torrential rain doing a grand job."
