Court: Coningsby man pleads guilty to drink driving

A Coningsby man has been banned from driving and ordered to pay a fine of £237 after he pleaded guilty to drink driving.

Philip John Avery, 64, of Canberra Close, appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court on December 16 where he entered his guilty plea.

Avery was found to have 62 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 microgrammes of breath while driving on Sleaford Road, Coningsby, on March 9 of this year.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

Avery was banned from driving for 17 months and ordered to pay £237 - including a £120 fine, £85 in court costs, and a £32 victim surcharge.

Avery’s guilty plea was taken into account when imposing the sentence.
