Peter Sellars, 35, of Mill Lane, Middle Rasen, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to a motoring offence, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on April 19.

The court was told how Sellars admitted driving a tractor while he was not in a position to have proper control of the vehicle.

The incident happened on the B1434, Bridge Road, in Moortown on September 11, last year.

Sellars has been fined £40 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge, the court heard.

He has had his driving record endorsed with three penalty points.

The court heard how Sellars had also been charged with driving a tractor without without reasonable consideration to other users, on the B1434, Bridge Road, in Moortown on September 11, last year.

This charge has now been withdrawn,.

Sellars had not entered a plea for this charge.

James Thompson

James Thompson, 45, of Washdyke Lane, Osgodby, has been sentenced for an offence under the Road Traffic Act, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on April 19.

The court was told how Thompson pleaded guilty to driving a Saab vehicle while using a mobile phone.

The incident happened on the B1434, Bridge Road, in Moortown on September 11, last year.

Thompson has been fined £150 and has been ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

His driving record has been endorsed with three penalty points.

David Otter

David Otter, 40, of Galba Road, Market Rasen, has had a charge against him withdrawn, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard on April 20.

The court was told how Mr Otter had been charged with using an unlicensed large goods vehicle or passenger carrying vehicle on the A18 Doncaster Road in Scunthorpe on August 3, last year.

This charge has now been withdrawn.

Mr Otter had not entered a plea, the court was told.

Lee Sheldon

Lee Sheldon, 30, of Windsor Way, Broughton, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to a charge under the Police Act, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard on April 21.

The court was told how Sheldon admitted assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty.

The incident happened in Scunthorpe on March 28, the court heard.

Sheldon has been fined £300 and has been ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £30 victim surcharge.

Michael Turnbull

Michael Turnbull, 55, of Bridge Street, Brigg, has had a warrant issued for his arrest without bail after he failed to turn up for a hearing at Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court on April 21.

The court was told how Mr Turnbull had been due in the dock accused of two offences.

Mr Turnbull is accused of having a quantity of diamorphine, a controlled class A drug, in Brigg on March 31, the court heard.

He is also accused of having a quantity ofcocaine, a controlled class A drug, in Scunthorpe on March 31, the court was told.

Mr Turnbull has not yet entered a plea for either charge.

The case has been adjourned.

Shane Scott

Shane Scott, 44, of Chapel Street, Market Rasen, has been fined after he pleaded guilty to a motoring offence, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on April 21.

The court was told how Scott admitted driving a Ford vehicle while not wearing an adult belt in conformity with regulations.

The incident happened on the A158 at Wragby on September 13, last year, the court heard.

Scott has been fined £145.

And he must pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge, the court was told.

Daniel Perry

Daniel Perry, 32, of no fixed abode - previously of King Street, Market Rasen - has been sentenced for an offence under the Theft Act, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on April 21.

The court was told how Perry pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of wine and a donut, to the value of £5.64, from Tesco in Linwood Road, Market Rasen.

The incident happened on February 15.

The court was told how Perry has been fined £50 and has been ordered to pay a total of £4.99 in compensation.

He must also pay a £20 victim surcharge, the court heard.

Helen Young

Helen Young, 33, of Chapman Street, Market Rasen, is to stand trial after she pleaded not guilty to an offence under the Vagrancy Act, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on April 21.

The court was told how Ms Young is accused of begging in a public place.

It is alleged Ms Young begged in the pedestrian subway, Wigford Way in Lincoln, on February 3, the court heard.

Ms Young has denied this charge.

She is due to stand trial at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 27, the court was told.

Ms Young has been given unconditional bail until this date.

The case hase been
