ASSAULT

Liam McCann, 25, of Festival Avenue, Ingoldmells. At Boston, in London Road, committed assault by beating. Committed to prison for 26 weeks, suspended for 12 months. £122 victim surcharge. £85 costs. At Boston, in London Road, on the same date, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, had with him in a public place a lock knife with a Stanley type blade. Committed to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months. Lock knife to be forfeited and destroyed. Overall length of sentence: 26 weeks. In Lincolnshire, on a later date, breached a bail condition. No action taken.

CAR MAINTENANCE – HANDBRAKE

Daina Hilton, 24, of The Square, Kirton. At Kirton, on the A16, used a vehicle when a part of its braking system, namely the handbrake, was not maintained in good and efficient working order. £220 fine. £32 victim surcharge. £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with three points.

COMMUNITY ORDER – COMPLIANCE

Matthew Reeson, 33, of Saddlers Way, Fishtoft. Failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend unpaid work appointments on two dates as instructed. No adjudication – dealt with for original offences. First, at Boston, in South End, drove when the proportion of a controlled drug – namely benzoylecgonine – in his blood exceeded the legal limit. £100 fine. £85 costs. Second, in Boston, in South End, on the same date, drove when the proportion of a controlled drug – namely cocaine – in his blood exceeded the legal limit. No separate penalty. Community order also revoked.

At Boston, in Castle Street, drove after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in breath equalled 132 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. Legal limit 35mcg.
