Aaron Lee Collett, 57, of Tattershall Park, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on December 18 where he changed his plea from not guilty.

Collett was found to have 45 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 microgrammes of breath when he was stopped by police on Main Road, Barkston, on August 6, 2019.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

Collett also admitted to a breach of a conditional discharge order which had been imposed less than 12 months previously at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court, following an offence of using threatening/abusive words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour, likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

No action was taken for this breach, but Collett was banned from driving for 16 months and ordered to pay an £80 fine, £85 in court costs, and a £32 victim surcharge.

Collett’s guilty plea was taken into account when imposing the sentence.

Collett was also faced with a charge of stealing goods of an unknown value from Sainsbury’s, in Grantham.

The offence took place on December 4, 2019.

Collett, who again changed his plea from not guilty to guilty, was ordered to pay compensation of £200.

His guilty plea was taken into account when imposing the sentence.
