Rachael Redfearn, 34, formerly of Highfields Caravan Site in Burgh Road but who has since moved to Mansfield, admitted the two offences when she appeared at Boston Magistrates Court.

Jim Care, prosecuting, said that on the first occasion in the late evening of June 23 last year, she was stopped by police after turning off Burgh Road into the caravan site where she lived, because of a faulty headlight and admitted she had been drinking prior to driving.

After a positive breath test she was arrested and provided a reading of 68 micrograms of alcohol, the legal limit being 35.

He said that while she was on bail for this offence, she was again arrested, this time at 9pm on August 3 on the A158 Lincoln Road, and was found to have a reading of 57 micrograms of alcohol in her breath.

Anita Toal, mitigating, said the offences had been committed shortly after her release from a brief spell of imprisonment and she was still under post-sentence supervision and was motivated to turn her life around.

The magistrates fined her £120 for each of the offences and banned her from driving for three years, but did offer her the drink drivers' rehabilitation course, which will reduce the period of the ban by 36 weeks.

She was also ordered to pay £119 in court costs and charges.
