Nick Fagan, 38, of Wainfleet Road, admitted possessing the drugs when he appeared before magistrates in Boston.

Prosecuting, Emma Cornell said police detained Fagan at 1pm on December 2 in Skegness after they saw him with the drugs dealer and found him to be in possession of one wrap of heroin and three wraps of crack cocaine.

Mark Hudson, mitigating for Fagan, said his last conviction had been 13 years ago and he had made a full and frank admission at the time he was stopped.

He said it had been a 'wake-up call' for him and he had since joined a rehabilitation course and had been drug free for two months.

The magistrates then had their attention drawn to three outstanding offences for which Fagan had previously failed to appear.

He then pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs, driving while disqualified and without insurance on January 10 last year in Castleton Boulevard, Skegness.

Ms Cornell said the drugs test showed he had 295 micrograms of cocaine in his bloodstream, the legal limit being 50, and in addition he was a disqualified driver at that time so his insurance was invalidated.

Mr Hudson said he had taken the cocaine two days before and did not realise how long it stayed in his

bloodstream.

The magistrates fined Fagan £120 for the possession of drugs charges and £120 each for driving under the influence of drugs and disqualified driving and banned him for a further two years.

He was also ordered to pay £119 in court costs and charges.
