Drugs driver from Ingoldmells is banned for three years

A 33-year-old Ingoldmells woman has been banned from driving for three years following her second conviction for driving under the influence of drugs in less than three years.

Liama Marie Holmes of Anchor Lane, admitted driving under the influence of cocaine when she appeared at Boston Magistrates Court.

Prosecuting, Emma Cornell said Ms Holmes was stopped driving her Vauxhall car at 4.05pm on September 9 on Roman Bank in Skegness and a drugs wipe showed positive and she was arrested.

A later analysis of her blood revealed she had 800 micrograms of benzoylecgonine and 60 micrograms of cocaine.

Ms Cornell said Ms Holmes had a previous drug driving conviction in 2018.

In mitigation, it was said she had fallen in with a group of friends who took drugs but she had since sold the car and no longer saw the friends she had.

She was banned from driving for three years and ordered to pay a fine of £120 and court costs and charges totalling £119.
