Ex-treasurer of Louth Old Boys found not guilty of fraud

An ex-treasurer of Louth Old Boys has been found not guilty of fraud by Lincoln Crown Court.

As previously reported, Ian Warsap, 63, of Newmarket, Louth, was charged with committing fraud by abuse of his position as treasurer of the Louth Old Boys Football Club between January 1 2006 and July 1 2017, by dishonestly making cheques out to himself and cashing them in his personal bank account.

Mr Warsap pleaded not guilty to the charges, and Lincolnshireworld can now report that at a hearing on November 2, 2022, he was found not guilty of all charges by Lincoln Crown Court.
