Fifteen bikers reported for offences during Lincolnshire Police’s Bank Holiday safety push

Sixty bikers were stopped yesterday (Sunday) and 15 riders reported for offences as part of a push to reduce motorbike deaths and injuries in the county.

Lincolnshire Police’s Op Octaine was launched to limit the death toll among bikers in Lincolnshire.

And the force has repeated its plea to bikers to make sure their vehicle is road worthy.

A police spokesperson said: “It was a successful day for Op Octaine stops, which is to help reduce motorbike deaths and injuries in Lincolnshire.

“Sixty bikes were stopped and 15 riders reported for offences.

“Please enjoy the county’s roads but make sure your bike is legal and road worthy,” they added.
