Five arrests following police drugs raid in Horncastle

Five men have been arrested, according to Lincolnshire Police, following a coordinated drugs raid in Horncastle this morning (Tuesday, December 23).

The “planned warrant” was carried out at a property on West Street, Horncastle, say police.

A police statement said the men, aged 18, 27, 30, 40 and 45, were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the supply of a Class B drug (cannabis).

Skegness Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Jacky Evans commented: “We’re acutely aware of the concern drug misuse causes members of our community. We’re fully committed to tackling concerns about drugs and anti‑social behaviour in our area. Even though you might not always see everything happening, there’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes to deal with these areas of concern and the issues people report to us.
