Five men to appear in crown court after police raid on cannabis farm at Thorpe Tilney

Five men have appeared at Lincoln Magistrates Court on charges of cannabis production at a site in Thorpe Tilney, near Billinghay.

They will now attend Lincoln Crown Court next month following the police raid on a property where they found a large cannabis grow on June 9.

The five charged, who appeared before Magistrates on Thursday, are: Mirsad Beqja, 53, of Newbon Close, Loughborough; William Buckberry, 31, of Sleaford Road, Thorpe Tilney; Nimet Jacaj, 32, of Hyde Way, Sleaford; Derirjan Ujkaj, 23, of Gradwell Street, Liverpool; and Klaidi Hasanas, 28, of Herbert Street, Loughborough.

Beqja, Jacaj and Ujkaj remain in custody to appear at the crown court on July 13. Buckberry was granted conditional bail to appear on the same date.

Hasanas was remanded to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on July 7.

A 28-year-old woman who was also arrested has been released under investigation.
