Four men deny cannabis farming near Sleaford

Four men have denied being involved in the operation of a cannabis farm when they appeared before Lincoln Crown Court.

Besmir Hoxhaj, 33, of no fixed address; Eduard Mucha, 31, of no fixed address; Ermal Rakipi, 31, of North Kyme Fen and Xhuliano Shahaj, 22, also of North Kyme Fen each pleaded not guilty to the production of cannabis between October 1, 2019 and April 29 this year.

The four men also denied a charge of unlawfully abstracting electricity between the same dates.

Judge John Pini QC adjourned the hearing for a trial scheduled to start on October 19 and all four defendants were remanded in custody.

The charges follow a raid by the Lincolnshire Police Tactical support team on a property in the Sleaford area on Tuesday April 28.
