LATEST UPDATE: Four people taken to hospital after incident in which man was stabbed

Three men remain in custody, one on suspicion of attempted murder, following the incident which saw a 24-year-old man stabbed in the stomach.

The ambulance service say the victim and three other people were taken to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, although police have as yet released no details of other injuries.

Lincolnshire Police say the stabbed man is still in hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Armed officers were among those who responded to the initial call-out at 12.10am on Monday morning.

Reports said there was a fight involving a number of people in Tunnard Street, Boston.

Police say they found that the 24-year old man had sustained a serious stab wound to his abdomen.

A 26-year old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and house to house inquiries have been taking place.

A 25-year-old man and a 44-year-old man have also been arrested on suspicion of affray.

The East Midlands Ambulance Sercice said: “We received a call at 12.16am on 18 November to attend a medical emergency at a private address in Boston. We sent a paramedic in a fast response car and four ambulances. Four patients were taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital in ambulances.”

Officers were in the Red Lion Street and Tunnard Street areas today all day yesterday, conducting house to house inquiries, and part of the street was sealed off by police tape.

Detective Inspector Gail Hurley says: "This was an isolated incident in which the people involved were known to each other.

“We are working hard to establish the circumstances of what has happened and information from local residents will be extremely valuable to our inquiries. Please get in touch if you saw what happened or captured any footage or images of the altercation taking place.

"If you don’t wish to speak with the police, Crimestoppers guarantee that you can you give information and remain completely anonymous.”

Updating the incident today, a police spokesman said: "The victim remains in hospital and his condition is stable and not believed to be life-threatening.

"Those arrested remain in custody and officers are still in Tunnard Street investigating the circumstances of this incident.
