Jack Day, 21, of Mallard Drive, Caistor, has pleaded not guilty to a charge under the Criminal Justice Act, Grimsby Magistrates’ Court heard on May 4.

The court was told how Mr Day has been accused of assaulting a woman by beating her in Grimsby on April 8.

He denies the charge.

Mr Day is due to stand trial at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court on June 23.

He has been given conditional bail until this date.

The case has been adjourned.

Martin McHale and Samantha McHale

Martin McHale, 45, and Samantha McHale, 43, both of Maysfield Court, Hibaldstow, have each been charged with being knowingly concerned in fraudulent evasion of Value Added Tax, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard on May 5.

The court was told how Mr McHale and Ms McHale allegedly caused or allowed VAT to be charged by KissIT Training Ltd after it had deregistered for VAT.

It allegedly happened in Hibaldstow between February 12, 2013 and June 6, 2014, the court was told.

The court heard how the pair have not yet entered their pleas.

Magistrates have sent the case to Grimsby Crown Court where Mr McHale and Ms McHale are due to appear on June 3.

Both defendants have been given unconditional bail until this date.

The case has been adjourned.

William Loft

William Loft, 20, of Dalmation Way, Broughton, has pleaded not guilty to a string of motoring charges, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court heard on May 5.

The court was told how Mr Loft has been charged with driving a Honda Civic vehicle without due care and attention at the Thatch Inn pub car park in Broughton on March 12.

He is accused of failing to stop a Honda Civic vehicle after an accident which allegedly damaged a brick pillar and wall at the Thatch Inn pub car park in Broughton on March 12, the court was told.

And Mr Loft is accused of failing to report an accident, at the Thatch Inn pub car park in Broughton on March 12, to a police station of police constable as soon as possible, or in any case within twenty-four hours, the court was told.

Mr Loft has pleaded not guilty to all three charges, the court heard.

He is due to stand trial at Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court on June 30.

The court heard how the case has been adjourned until this date and Mr Loft has been given unconditional bail.

Kenneth Diamond

Kenneth Diamond, 36, of Magna Mile, Ludford, is to stand trial accused of possessing an extreme pornographic image, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on May 5.

The court was told how Mr Diamond is accused of having, in Southwark, London on August 25, 2015, an image which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing a sex act an animal.

Mr Diamond has pleaded not guilty to this charge, the court heard.

He is due to stand trial at Lincoln Crown Court on June 2 and has been given conditional bail until this date.

The case has been adjourned.

Adam Baxter

Adam Baxter, 28, of Queen Street, Market Rasen, has had a warrant issued for his arrest after he failed to turn up for a hearing a Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on May 5.

The court was told how Mr Baxter had been due in the dock accused of using threatening/abusive / insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of, or provoke, unlawful violence, towards a man and a woman in Mill Road, Market Rasen on November 17, last year.

Mr Baxter has not yet entered a plea, the court was told.

The case has been adjourned.

Michaela Major, 35, of Coronation Road, Market Rasen, has had a warrant issued for her arrest after she failed to turn up for a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on May 5.

The court was told how Miss Major had been due in the dock accused of using threatening/abusive / insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of, or provoke, unlawful violence, towards a man in Mill Road, Market Rasen on November 17, last year.

The court heard how Miss Major has not yet entered a plea.

The case has been adjourned.

Ian Shackleton

Ian Shackleton, 47, of Jameson Bridge Street, Market Rasen, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to a motoring offence, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on May 9.

The court was told how Shackleton admitted using a Vauxhall vehicle when a part of its braking system, namely the handbrake cable, was not maintained in good and efficient working order.

The incident happened in Wragby Road, Lincoln on September 6, last year, the court heard.

Shackleton has been fined £150 and had his driving record endorsed with three penalty points.

He has been ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
