Shaun Bennett, 47, of Coronation Road, Market Rasen, has been charged with failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle when required, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court was told on February 24.

The court heard how Mr Bennett has been accused of failing to give police information relating to the identification of the driver of an Audi vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

It allegedly happened on February 10, last year, the court heard.

Mr Bennett has not yet entered a plea.

The case has been adjourned until May 3, the court was told.

Anthony Manson

Anthony Manson, 36, of Louisberg Road, Hemswell, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on February 25 charged with an offence under the Road Traffic Offenders Act.

The court was told how Mr Manson is accused of failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis as part of a police investigation into whether or not he had committed an offence.

It allegedly happened in Lincoln on September 15, last year, the court was told.

Mr Manson has not yet entered a plea.

The case has now been adjourned until March 17, the court heard.

Mr Manson has been given unconditional bail until this date.

Nathan Gladwell

Nathan Gladwell, 26, of Risedale, Caistor, has had a warrant issued for his arrest after he failed to turn up for a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on February 25.

The court was told how Mr Gladwell had been due in the dock accused of failing to comply with the requirements of post-custodial supervision.

It is alleged Mr Gladwell failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the supervision requirements imposed following release from a period of imprisonment in that he allegedly: failed to attend supervision on January 8, 15 and 29 and February 22, failed to provide an acceptable explanation to cover the absence within seven days and failed to to maintain contact with his offender manager.

The court heard how Mr Gladwell has not yet entered a plea.

He has now had a warrant issued for his arrest without bail, the court was told.

The case has been adjourned.

Peter Davies

Peter Davies, 48, of Hollybush Street, Parkgate, Rotherham, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to a string of offences at Hemswell, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on February 25.

The court was told how Davies admitted four counts of selling ‘goods with sign/ packaging bearing a sign identical / likely to be mistaken for registered trade mark’.

The goods involved were a DVD entitled ‘The Lego Movie’ which bore a sign likely to be mistaken for registered trade mark ‘Warner Bros’, a DVD entitled ‘The Muppets’ which bore a sign likely to be mistaken for registered trade mark ‘Disney’, a DVD entitled ‘Frozen’ which which bore a sign likely to be mistaken for registered trade mark ‘Disney’ and a DVD entitled ‘Jarhead 2’ which which bore a sign likely to be mistaken for registered trade mark ‘Universal’.

And Davies also admitted four counts of possessing ‘goods with a false trade mark for sale / hire’, the court was told.

These goods were a CD entitled ‘The Noughties’ which which bore a sign likely to be mistaken for registered trade mark ‘Sony Music’, a CD entitled ‘The Ministry of Sound Marbella Sessions 2014’ which bore a sign likely to be mistaken for registered trade mark ‘Ministry of Sound’, a DVD entitled ‘X-Men Days of Future Past’ which bore a sign likely to be mistaken for registered trade mark ‘20th CenturyFox’ and a DVD entitled ‘Hercules’ which bore a sign likely to be mistaken for registered trade mark ‘Paramount’, the court heard.

The offences all happened in Hemswell on October 5, 2014, the court was told.

Davies has been fined £220 and ordered to pay £150 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

An order has been made for 297 DVDs and five CDs to be forfeited and destroyed under section 97 the Trade Marks Act, the court was told.

Clyde Manson

Clyde Manson, 26, of Mill Lane Brigg, has been sentenced after he admitted three motoring offences, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court was told on February 25.

The court heard how Manson pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis as part of a police investigation into whether or not he had committed an offence.

This happened in Scunthorpe on February 4.

He was banned from driving for three years and fined £150.

Manson was ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £20 victim surcharge, the court heard.

He also pleaded guilty to exceeding a 40mph speed in Queensway, Scunthorpe and failing to comply with a red light traffic signal in Grange Lane South, Scunthorpe.

The court heard how both of these offences also happened on February 4.

Manson was given no separate penalty for these offences, the court was told.
