Mark Birkett, 49, of Rawlinson Avenue, Caistor, has been handed a suspended prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to one count of ‘harassment without violence’, Grimsby Magistrates’ Court was told on February 12.

The court heard how Birkett admitted pursuing a course of conduct, including distributing photos, which amounted to the harassment of a woman.

The incident happened in Ulceby, North East Lincolnshire, between August 1, last year and January 1, 2016, the court was told.

Birkett was given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months, the court heard.

The court was told this sentence was given due to the severe impact caused to the victim.

Birkett has also been given a restrining order and he must take part in a rehabilitation activity requirement.

He has been ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and an £80 victim surcharge, the court heard.

David Cross

David Cross, 32, of St Hugh Street, Lincoln - previously living at King Street, West Rasen - has been sentenced for two charges under the Theft Act, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court was told on February 16.

The court was told how Cross pleaded guilty to stealing two laptops, of an unknown value, from a woman in Wainfleet.

The incident happened on July 8 last year, the court heard.

Cross has been ordered to pay £600 compensation, the court heard.

The court was told he also pleaded guilty to taking a Peugeot vehicle without the owner’s consent.

This also happened in Wainfleet on July 8 last year, the court heard.

Cross was given no separate penalty for this offence, the court was told.

Martine Domoney

Martine Domoney, 29, of Louisberg Road, Hemswell Cliff, has had a warrant issued for her arrest, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on February 18.

The court was told how Miss Domoney had been due in the dock accused of driving a Vauxhall Astra while unfit through drugs in High Street, Lincoln on October 8 last year.

Miss Domoney did not turn up for the hearing and a warrant was issued for her arrest without bail, the court heard.

She has not yet entered a plea for the charge, the court was told.

The case has been adjourned.

David Fogg

David Fogg, 45, of Ryland Bridge, Welton, has pleaded guilty to a ‘harassment - put in fear of violence’ charge under the Protection from Harassment Act, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court was told on February 22.

The cout heard how Fogg caused a woman to fear that violence would be used against her by making 55 phone calls to her and threatened to assault and rape her.

The case has been adjourned until April 29, thhe court was told.

Fogg has been given conditional bail until this date.

Marc Olley

Marc Olley, 31, of Bridge Street, Brigg, has had a charge against him withdrawn, Grimsby Magistrates’ Court was told on February 23.

The court heard how Mr Olley had been accused of failing to comply with the requirements of post-custodial supervision by failing to keep in touch with his supervising officer on December 18, 2015, January 4 and January 6, 2016 and failing to provide evidence for the failure within a specified time.

Mr Olley denied the charge during a hearing at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court on February 9.

And now the charge has been withdrawn, the court was told.

Karen Gulliford

Karen Gulliford, 45, of Horncastle Road, Wragby, has been sentenced for a motoring offence, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on February 24.

The court was told how Gulliford pleaded guilty to driving a Mitsubishi vehicle without due care and attention.

The offence happened on the A157/A158 roundabout in Wragby on July 13 last year, the court heard.

Gulliford has been fined £80 and had her driving record endorsed with six penalty points, the court was told.

She has also been ordered to pay £40 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

The court was told how Gulliford had originally pleaded not guilty to the charge but changed her plea on February 24.

Russell Hemsworth

Russuell Hemsworth, 33, of Parker Lane, Middle Rasen, is to be sentenced for a motoring offence, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court heard on February 24.

The court was told how Hemsworth drove a Suzuki vehicle without any insurance.

The offence happened in Waterloo Street, Market Rasen on July 5, last year, the court heard.

The case was proved in Hemsworth’s absence from court on February 24.

He had not entered a plea, the court was told.

The case has now been adjourned until May 3, for magistrates to ‘consider disqualification from driving’, the court was told.
