Mark Plater, 49, of Station Road, North Thoresby, is due to be sentenced for driving without due care and attention, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court was told on February 1.

The court was told how Plater had been charged with driving without due care and attention on the A16 Main Road at North Thoresby on June 30 last year.

The case was proved by magistrates in Plater’s absence from court on February 1.

He had not entered a plea, the court heard.

The case has been adjourned until April 5 when magistrates will consider disqualification from driving.

David Wallis

David Wallis, 27, of King Street, Market Rasen, has pleaded guilty to anoffence under the Theft Act, Grimsby Magistrates’ Court was told on February 2.

The court was told how Wallis admitted stealing perfume, to the value of £65, from House of Fraser in Freshney Place, Grimsby.

The incident happened on January 23, the court was told.

Wallis has been remanded in custody until February 23 when he is due back in court.

The court was told he has not been given bail as he is ‘likely to offend’.

The case has been adjourned.

David Hawkins

David Hawkins, 38, of North Cliff Road, Kirton Lindsey, has been sentenced for an offence under the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court was told on February 
3.

The court was told how Hawkins pleaded guilty to fishing for freshwater fish or eels using an unlicensed fishing instrument, namely rod and line.

The incident happned in Willowbank Fishery, Kirton in Lindsey in a place where fishing is regulated.

The offence took place on June 14 last year.

Hawkins has been fined £50.

He has been ordered to pay £127 in court costs and a £20 victim surcharge, the court heard.

Daniel Murphy

Daniel Murphy, 35, of West Firsby Lane, West Firsby, has been sentenced for drink driving, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court was told on February 4.

The court was told how Murphy pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle when he was just over the legal limit.

A test showed Murphy had 95 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, the court was told.

The incident happened in Spridlington Road, Faldingworth, on October 24 last year.

Murphy has been banned from driving for 12 months and fined £325.

He has been ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £32 victim surcharge.

Ashley Mappin

Ashley Mappin, 32, of King Street, Market Rasen, has been sentenced for an offence under the Theft Act, Lincoln Magistrates’ Court was told on February 4.

The court was told how Mappin pleaded guilty to stealing a tricycle, to the value of £170, from a woman in Faldingworth.

The incident happened on July 21 last year, the court was told.

Mappin was ordered to pay £150 in compensation and £40 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

The court was told Mappin originally pleaded not guilty to the charge back in January but changed his plea before a trial took place.

Dylan Fenna

Dylan Fenna, 37, of Mill Road, Brigg, has pleaded guilty to a string of offences, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court was told on Februaray 4.

The court was told how Fenna has admitted failing to attend a follow-up assessment at a specified time - an offence under the Drugs Act.

This happened in Scunthorpe on January 19.

He admitted stealing three electric razors, to the value of £339.97, from Boots in Brigg on January 16.

Fenna also admitted stealing bottles of lotion, to an unknown value, from Boots in Brigg on August 12 last year.

He admitted failing without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at Scunthorpe Police Station on November 13, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on October 16 last year.

Fenna is due to be sentenced on May 3, the court was told.

The case has been adjourned until this date.

Ryan Hall

Ryan Hall, 32, of Nookings Drive, Hibaldstow, has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to two motoring offences, Scunthorpe Magistrates’ Court was told on February 4.

The court was told how Hall admitted driving a Vauxhall Astra while disqualified from holding a licence.

The incident happened in Church Street, Hibaldstow on December 10 last year.

Hall was given a community order - he must be under curfew for 28 days and this must be electronically monitored.

He was also handed a 12-month driving ban.

And Hall must pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £60 victim surcharge.

Hall also admitted driving without insurance, in Church Street, Hibaldstow on December 10 last year.

He was given no separate penalty for this offence, the court was told.
