Mablethorpe man sentenced for assault and criminal damage

A Mablethorpe man has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to criminal damage on a car and assaulting a man.

Martin Stewart Joseph Tinkler, 30, of Seacroft Road, committed criminal damage against a car which belongs to Libertas Care, intending to destroy or damage such property, or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged. Tinkler also assaulted a man on the same day.

Both offences took place in Skegness on February 24 this year.

Tinkler pleaded guilty to both charges at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on March 11.

Tinkler was ordered to pay compensation worth £75 for each of the two charges, and he was handed a community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement up to a maximum of 20 days. He was also ordered to pay a total of £95 in court costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account by the court when sentencing.
