Man, 28, faces multiple sexual and physical assault charges

A former Lincolnshire man has been sent for trial on allegations which include rape, sexual assault, and assault by beating.

Liam Dodds, 28, now living in Malton Road, Scawsby near Doncaster faces allegations of repeated coercive and controlling behaviour in Horncastle, Alford, and Grimsby between May 2015 and August 2020; rape of a woman over 16 at Grimsby between July 2017 and February 2018; sexual assault on a woman over 16 at Alford between March 2018 and July 2020; and assault by beating at Alford in July 2020.

Dodds entered no formal pleas, but it was intimated that the allegations would be denied.

He was sent for trial at Lincoln Crown Court for a first appearance on March 15, and was granted conditional bail.
