Man arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency in village near Sleaford

A man has been arrested after reports of a male indecently exposing himself in Metheringham.

Police say a 70-year-old man was arrested after reports of a male indecently exposing himself to two teenage girls at the junction of Fen Lane, Metheringham, on May 12 at around 4.30pm.

PC Matthew Roberts of Lincolnshire Police’s Bracebridge Heath Neighbourhood Policing Team said officers have since been investigating the reports.

Yesterday afternoon (Monday) he added: “A male has been arrested on suspicion of Outraging Public Decency and is currently helping police with enquiries.”

A police spokesman said further that the 70 year old man has been released with a caution.
