Daniel Netting, 28, of St Michaels Lane, Wainfleet St Mary was said to have been 'persistently abusive and using colourful language' towards police officers who had attended a village fete on July 21 to investigate an alleged assault, which Netting was not involved in, and eventually he had to be arrested.

Magistrates bound him over to keep the peace and to refrain from shouting abusive remarks in public for a period of six months.
