He is now due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on September 19.

Armed police were called to Sleaford railway station on Saturday evening after a train guard suspected someone had a firearm on a train.

A British Transport Police spokesman said officers were joined by armed units from Lincolnshire Police on Station Road at 6.58pm.

An eye witness driving past the scene at Southgate level crossing told The Standard he saw at least four or five police cars blocking Station Road at the height of the incident at around 7.15pm.

They were spread around the entrance to the station with more officers at the top of Station
Road keeping the public away.
