Man cleared of assaulting police officer in Horncastle

A Horncastle man has been cleared of assaulting a police officer last May, it can be revealed.

Barry Lee Perrin (30) of Centurian Park, was accused of assaulting PC John Biggs by beating him on May 12, 2020.

He was found not guilty after appearing before Boston Magistrates on March 12.

Perrin was also found not guilty of a second charge that on June 12, 2020 he used words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress .

Perrin previously appeared before magistrates in Boston last October to face both charges.
