Man in hospital with head injury after incident behind Sleaford pub

Police cordoned off an area at the rear of the Bull and Dog pub in Sleaford in the early hours of this morning (Monday) after reports of an alleged incident.

According to a Lincolnshire Police spokesman, an incident was reported to police at 1.25am this morning when a man, from Hampshire, was found on the ground with a head injury in the smoking area outside the rear of the pub.

The area remained cordoned off for police investigations this morning at 8.30am but was cleared later.

The spokesman said: “The injured man was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, where he remains in a stable condition.

“A 25 year old man (also from Hampshire) was arrested on suspicion of assault but has subsequently been released from custody as no complaint has been made.”
